Here is all the information you should know!

Initial I-20

If you are a new student and live outside the U.S., and you plan to study at AEA for 3 months and more. You need an I-20 from Advance English Academy so you can apply for an F-1 visa before traveling to the U.S. to study.

What you need to do...​

  1. Fill out an Application Form

  2. Prepare a copy of your passport

  3. Prepare a bank statement from you or your sponsor

  4. Prepare a copy of your High school or university certificate or transcript

  5. Application Fee: $100

  6. Placement Test Fee: $20

  7. International Processing Fee: $100 + optional mailing fees

Once you're accepted...

Once our school has officially accepted you, we will mail you a Letter of Acceptance and an I-20.

Pay the SEVIS fee before you make an appointment with the US Embassy, and visit the US Embassy’s website in your country to make an appointment. Applying as an F-1 student from outside the USA? Read more about the process here.

Transfer I-20

If you live inside the U.S. and have an F-1 visa and I-20 from another school in the U.S.  You want to transfer your I-20 to Advance English Academy to study for 3 months and more.

What you need to do...​

​

  1. Fill out an Application Form

  2. Prepare a copy of your passport 

  3. Prepare a copy of your current visa

  4. Prepare a copy of your most recent I-20

  5. Prepare a bank statement from you or your sponsor

  6. Prepare a copy of your High school or university certificate or transcript

  7. Application Fee: $100

  8. Placement Test Fee: $20

Once you're accepted...

We will give you an acceptance letter and Transfer Form (for F-1 students).

If you are an F-1 student, please give both documents to your current school so they can transfer your record to us.

Have questions?

Change of status

​If you have a different status in the U.S. and would like to change your status to F-1 in order to study as an international student.

What you need to do...​

  1. Fill out an Application Form

  2. Prepare a copy of your passport 

  3. Prepare a copy of your current visa

  4. Prepare a bank statement from you or your sponsor

  5. Prepare a copy of your High school or university certificate or transcript 

  6. Application Fee: $250

Once you're accepted...

We will give you an acceptance letter and issue you an I-20 to assist you in the visa status transition process.

Non F-1 VISA

If you have an ESTA visa waiver, a B1/B2 Visitor visa, a J1 visa, or another non-immigrant visa status. You'd like to contact us about studying part-time.

What you need to do...​

  1. Fill out an Application Form

  2. Prepare a copy of your passport 

  3. Prepare a copy of your current visa and entry stamp to the U.S.

  4. Prepare a copy of your High school or university certificate or transcript

  5. Application Fee: $100

  6. Placement Test Fee: $20

Once you're accepted...

We will give you an acceptance letter and schedule you to take the placement test. You will be able to start your classes in no time!

Tips for registering for classes & paying tuition

Make sure you do your online placement test before the start of class. Tuition can be paid every four weeks. There is no refund for fees other than tuition (please see our Refund Policy for details on tuition refunds).
